Dad's On A Journey

For Dads who are not quite ready to work collaboratively and safely with the child's other parent
This program is an 8 week course, in a supportive group setting and is about unpacking, reflecting and creating a new safer journey which will help prevent and hopefully alleviate ‘sink holes’ along the journey.
This will lead to healthier, happier and safer outcomes for Dads and kids alike.
The framework of this work draws from but is not limited to; Bowlby's Attachment Theory

D.O.A.J. offers confidential group work with professional counsellors and support workers. We have a no judgement, supportive and safe environment which promotes discussion and friendship

Develop strong healthy relationships within the family unit
Explore alternatives to family violence - staying safe
Increase knowledge and skills in managing stressors
Reflect on the importance they have in their children's lives
Being the best version of ourselves
Participate in supportive group activities
